「我很喜歡」別說 I very like!very 該放哪一次搞懂

別說 I very like,really 這樣用 | MJ英語 Daily English | 生活英語

「我很喜歡」英文要說 I really like it. 或 I like it a lot.。very 只能接形容詞或副詞(very good、very tired),不能直接放在動詞前面。

英文的 very 只接形容詞或副詞(very good、very fast),遇到動詞要換成 really 放在動詞前,或在句尾加 a lot/very much。

台灣人最容易卡的雷:① I very like it. → I really like it.;② I very want to try it. → I really want to try it.;③ I very tired. → I’m really tired.(形容詞前面要有 am)

Ryan

Here it is! This is my favorite coffee shop in the city.

Grace

Wow, it’s so cozy. I very like this place.

I really like this place.)

Ryan

You really like it? I knew you would! Their pumpkin spice latte is famous.

Grace

Pumpkin spice latte? I very want to try it!

I really want to try it!)

Ryan

You really want to try it? Then let’s get two. It’s only on the menu in the fall.

Grace

Mmm, it’s sweet and warm. It tastes like fall!

Ryan

Right? So, how was your first week at school?

Grace

It was busy. So many classes. I very tired.

(少了 am,要說 I’m really tired.)

Ryan

Aw, you’re really tired? That’s normal in the first week. I was so tired too.

Grace

Wait, you keep saying “really.” Is “I very like” wrong?

I very like 是錯的嗎?

Ryan

Kind of! Just say “I really like it” or “I like it a lot.” “Very” goes with words like “good” or “tired.”

說 I really like it 或 I like it a lot 就好。very 是接 good、tired 這種字。

Grace

Got it! I really like this place, and I like this latte a lot.

動詞前用 really/句尾加 a lot、very much/very 只接形容詞,而且前面別漏 am、is、are

①我很喜歡=I really like it.
②我超喜歡=I like it a lot.
③我非常喜歡=I like it very much.
I really want to try it.
⑤我很累=I’m really tired.
⑥我很忙=I’m very busy.
I totally agree.
⑧我超愛=I love it!

Next Time

I very like it.

I really like it.

動詞 like 前面要用 really,或在句尾加 a lot、very much。

I very want to try it.

I really want to try it.

說 I really want to…

I very tired.

I’m really tired.

I’m very tired 也對,I’m really tired 更口語。

Sentence Patterns

I really like it.

I really like this place.”(「我很喜歡這裡。」)
例:”I really miss my family.”(「我好想念家人。」)
例:”She really loves coffee.”(「她超愛咖啡。」)
I really like、I really want、I really need。

I like it a lot.

不想用 really,就在句子最後加 a lot 或 very much。

例:”I like this latte a lot.”(「我超喜歡這杯拿鐵。」)
例:”Thank you very much.”(「非常謝謝你。」)
例:”I miss you so much.”(「我好想你。」)
a lot 最口語;very much 比較正式,常用在 Thank you very much。

3. very 只接形容詞 → very good、very busy

This latte is very good.”(「這杯拿鐵很好喝。」)
例:”I’m very busy this week.”(「我這週很忙。」)
例:”He speaks very fast.”(「他講話很快。」)

I’m really tired.

形容詞前面別忘了 am、is、are。

例:”I’m really tired.”(「我很累。」)
例:”She’s very happy.”(「她很開心。」)
例:”We’re so hungry.”(「我們好餓。」)
中文說「我很累」沒有「是」,英文一定要有 am:I’m tired,不是 I tired。

I love it! / I totally agree.

例:”I love it!”(「我超愛!」)
I really want to go.”(「我好想去。」)

Transcript

J
Hi, I’m Jason, and welcome to MJ English! Today’s topic is a little personal for my co-host, because I happen to know she used to say a certain sentence all the time. Mary, do you want to tell everyone?
M
Ha, okay, I’m Mary, and yes, it’s true. When I first got to the U.S., I walked into a bookstore and told the clerk, “I very like this place!” She smiled, but I could tell something sounded off. 我剛到美國的時候,走進一間書店跟店員說 “I very like this place!”
J
And she’s not alone. A lot of learners say it, and it makes sense. In Chinese, the word for “very” goes right before “like,” so we put “very” there in English too. Easy, right? But English just doesn’t work that way.
M
So today we have a little story. Grace is a student from Taiwan, and she just moved to San Francisco for school. This weekend, her American classmate Ryan takes her to his favorite coffee shop.
J
Ryan loves this place. And it’s fall, so there’s a special drink on the menu, the pumpkin spice latte. It’s a fall drink in the U.S., so people get really excited about it every year.
M
Okay, mistake number one. Grace walks in and says, “I very like this place.” That’s the wrong way to say it. And Ryan says, “You really like it?” He doesn’t correct her. He just says it the right way. Grace 走進店裡說 “I very like this place.” 而 Ryan 說:”You really like it?”
J
That’s the fix. Put “really” before the verb. I really like it. I really like this place. I really miss my family. Really sits right in front of the verb, and it just sounds natural. I really like it. I really like this place. I really miss my family.
M
And if you don’t want to use “really,” you can put “a lot” at the end. I like it a lot. I like this latte a lot. It’s super common, and it sounds friendly and relaxed. I like it a lot. I like this latte a lot.
J
There’s also “very much.” You can say, “I like it very much,” but it sounds more formal. The place you hear it most is, “Thank you very much.” For daily chat, a lot is easier.還有一個是 very much。你可以說 “I like it very much”,但聽起來比較正式。最常聽到的地方是 “Thank you very much.”
M
Mistake number two. Ryan says the latte is famous, and Grace says, “I very want to try it!” Again, that’s wrong. “Want” is a verb too. So it’s, “I really want to try it.” Same fix. I very want to try it!” want 也是動詞,所以要說 “I really want to try it.”
J
And Ryan answers, “You really want to try it?” Then he says, “Let’s get two.” See? Really goes before want, like, need, miss. Pretty much any verb you feel strongly about.然後 Ryan 回:”You really want to try it?” 接著說:”Let’s get two.”
M
Now the third one is different. Later Ryan asks about her first week, and Grace says, “I very tired.” Okay, what’s missing in that sentence? Take a second. 後來 Ryan 問她第一週過得怎樣,Grace 說:”I very tired.”
J
The little word “am.” When we say it in Chinese, there’s no word for “am” in there. But in English, an adjective like “tired” needs am, is, or are. So it’s, “I’m very tired,” or “I’m really tired.” 所以是 “I’m very tired”,或 “I’m really tired.”
M
And here’s where the rule about “very” comes in. Very only goes with adjectives and adverbs. Very good. Very busy. Very fast, like, “He talks very fast.” Tired is an adjective, so very works fine. very good、very busy、very fast,像 “He talks very fast.” tired 是形容詞,所以用 very 沒問題。
J
So the rule is simple. Verb? Use really, or add a lot at the end. Adjective? Very is fine, but don’t forget am, is, or are. I’m very busy this week. She’s very happy. This latte is very good. 用 very 可以,但別忘了 am、is、are。I’m very busy this week. She’s very happy. This latte is very good.
M
Here’s a tip. “Really” works for both. I really like it, and I’m really tired. So if you’re ever not sure, just use really. It’s a safe word, and Americans say it all day long. I really like it,也可以 I’m really tired。
J
Okay, a bonus now. When you really, really like something, try “I love it!” It’s short, and it sounds very American. And when you agree a hundred percent, say, “I totally agree.”
M
I use both every day. Someone asks, “How’s your new phone?” and I say, “I love it!” Or a friend says, “That movie was too long,” and I say, “I totally agree.” It’s way better than “I very agree.” 有人問 “How’s your new phone?” 我就說 “I love it!” 比 “I very agree” 自然太多了。
J
So Mary, after the bookstore, what did you do? Did you fix it right away? I’m curious how it actually happened for you, because I know it’s hard to change a habit like this.
M
Not right away. I put a sticky note on my laptop that said “I really like it.” Every time I saw it, I said it out loud. After about two weeks, it just came out on its own. 我在筆電上貼了一張便利貼,寫著 “I really like it.”
J
Love that. Okay, quick recap. One, say “I really like it” or “I like it a lot,” not “I very like it.” Two, “I really want to try it.” Three, “I’m really tired,” with am. And very is just for adjectives. 一,說 “I really like it” 或 “I like it a lot”,不是 “I very like it”。二,”I really want to try it.” 三,”I’m really tired”,要有 am。
M
Now let’s hear the whole conversation one more time. Try to catch the three spots where Ryan answers Grace with the right words. Don’t worry about every word. Just enjoy the coffee shop. Here we go.

J
The second time through, you can hear how natural “really” sounds, and how Grace uses it herself at the end. Hear it a few more times, and it starts to feel normal.
