💡 英文裡最禮貌的「我是新手請慢慢講」。對方聽到這句會自動把語速放慢、把重點說清楚，不會讓你覺得自己很笨。

M: Then Rachel asks, “Is my phone compatible with your network?” That word — compatible — is gold.

J: Notice she didn’t say “Does my phone work?” That’s vague. “Compatible with your network” is precise. Makes you sound confident, like you’ve done this before.

M: Same word works for software, chargers, file types. “Is this app compatible with iOS 18?” “Is this charger compatible with my MacBook?”

J: And Tom’s reply was so American — “Yeah, you’re good to go.” That phrase, “good to go”, just means “you’re all set.”

J: Then we get into plans. Tom mentions 10 GB or unlimited, both with tethering. Tethering is the technical word for sharing your hotspot.

M: If you say “Can I share my data with my laptop?” — that works. But “Does the plan include tethering?” — now you sound like a pro.

J: Then Rachel asks the most important short-term question: “How long is it valid for?” Notice — valid for. Not “how long does it last?”

M: “Valid for” is the standard term. You’ll see it on receipts, contracts, vouchers, visas — everywhere there’s an expiry date.

M: Then Rachel asks the safety-net question: “What if it doesn’t work?” Such a useful sentence. You’re not being negative — you’re asking what the backup plan is.

J: Always ask this. Buying any service, signing any contract, booking any tour. “What if I miss my flight?” “What if it rains?” Saves you from future panic.
